"Love someone who is afraid of the dark. Love someone who, on rainy days, instead of cuddling on the couch with a book steps out onto the porch and listens to the rain fall. Love someone who eats too many Cheetos. Love someone who quotes movies way too loud but it’s comforting to you; it makes them more real. Love someone who is willing to stay up with you when you can’t sleep and even makes you a coffee because why not? Love someone who will kiss your scars, big or small, and smile because they’re a part of you and you’re beautiful. Love someone who wants to go on all the rides at a cheap carnival, no matter how rickety they look. You only live once, you know. Love someone who will jump right into the waves at the beach, no matter how cold the water is. Love someone who will sit in the aisle of a bookstore for hours, covered in novels of every language. It’s more fun to read like that, anyway. Love someone who whispers along with the crickets at night and counts the stars in the sky. Love someone that your mom adores but your dad hates; you know he’s right for you since your dad is upset at how he knows it, too. Love someone who still lays out in the summer to look at the shapes in the clouds. Love someone who slips love notes under the bedroom door when you’ve slept in too late or are in a bad mood because they know it’ll make you smile. But most of all, love someone who loves sunsets and isn’t afraid to say goodbye; they know there is never truly an end."
